Wounds can become wells filled with wisdom, strength and empathy. Brett Talley is that well. Brett is an experienced front-line youth leader. An extremely gifted communicator, Brett constantly chooses to create a better future — for the next generation and youth leaders — by going the extra mile. Brett deeply believes nothing is ever so dead that God can’t grow something living in it. Brett epitomizes the reality that the purpose of hope is love. As well, Brett’s mullet is the envy of every Major League baseball player and is often mistaken for that of Randy Johnson and Joe Dirt.

I've had the pleasure of watching Brett Talley speak to church leaders and volunteers many times. Each time, I am floored by two things: practicality and genuine care. What I love about seeing Brett speak to adults is he is highly practical. Everyone in the room leaves with tangible tools and clear next steps toward becoming a better leader. On top of that, everybody has a good time because he is so engaging and relatable! Speakers do not come more genuine than Brett. He cares so much for his audience that I see him staying to chat with individuals, exchanging contact information, and staying connected for years to come. It's remarkable to watch. Brett is more than a speaker. He is a leader and a friend to those he speaks with.

As a host of Rethinking Youth Ministry, Brett has perfected his ability to not only lead rich, compelling conversations, but also keep listeners engaged and leaning in with his high energy, fun demeanor.

What can I say about Brett Talley that will help you know him better and feel great about your decision to use him as a resource or a coach? I could tell you that nothing is as important to him (after his relationship with Jesus, obviously) as his family. He loves Courtney and his 3 kids with all his being and places a priority on spending time with them. I could tell you that he’s an amazing speaker and wise beyond his years. I could tell you that “to know him is to love him”. I could tell you that he’s so very funny and so very relational. But let’s get down to the nitty gritty…HE’S MY BABY BOY!
